  Never mind...found the USPTO site and reviewed the fees. Definetely something for which to save my pennies.

  Given that Semiconductor is a non-mark modifier, simply having the Trademark on Parallax is sufficient.
  
  I own the trademark "EFormance" within the field I did/do business. This encompasses EFormance Engineering too.

  Unless you are Facebook. It seems that they are trying to claim ownership of the word "book". I think that is a classic example of how the system is abused.

  Thanks everyone, it was a long process and we're happy to now have the trademark. The trademark is on "Parallax Semiconductor." We had to disclaim the word "semiconductor" because it's a common word.
