Well, Bruce has gone over the top with big red text claiming lot's of rights that are naturally his anyway in most parts of the world due to copyright law. Plus he seems to be trying to make at least one restriction that has no legal standing as far as I can tell:
He claims copyright on the photo's, quite reasonable.
He clams copyright on the text, also quite reasonable.
He does state that sharing the idea itself is OK, "You may distribute a general description...", also quite reasonable.
He slips up here I think: "...but the distribution of construction and/or instruction details on the internet is not permitted". If he means the "details" as in in his actual text the yes, but if he means "sharing the idea in your own words" then he has no legs to stand on.
So not a lot wrong with all that, except perhaps if there should be an attribution of the idea to someone else, I don't know.
However, when I see pages like that with all the aggressive shouting at the top I don't bother to continue with it.
Reminds me of MicroSoft too much:)
Sonic welcome to the forums where you will learn something new everyday, it can be games, robotics or something useful for you or someone else. The goal is to learn, that's why we post on these forums. So, post away and get those stars as long as you are enjoying yourself and learning something.
Tanks a bunch bsnut! I agree to, and everyone here is friendly and helpful. I already started learning to wire my atari 2600 joystick fo input on my propeller, so I'm off to a good start!
While you didn't get the Hydra board, someday you might want the book for it as it explains a lot about retro-gaming.
I started with electronics back in 1960 at about 12 years old. While I didn't stay with it for a career, the information and mental skills have still been very rewarding.
I see, I haven't been into electronics for tooling, but I've learned alot. I think I should get the book, because the last one I bout about retro programming didn't really work to well.
