Quick question

When using the CMUcam for the boe-bot usb version, is it possible to use other simple hardware such as IR sensors or photoresistors?
There is a special pin set for the camera or other appmods, but the holes are labled the same letters and numbers as the I/O pins for the breadboard.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use the camera with other hardware, or does the camera use up all of the pins?

You have several very specific very specialized questions. Maybe you haven't gotten an answer because no one who's viewed the message knows the answer. Have you read the documentation on the CMUcam AppMod? It probably has the information. I doubt that the AppMod would use all the I/O pins, but I'd have to go read the documentation myself to figure it out.

Does it use all the pins? probably not.

Of which CMUcam do you refer? I know of three variations.

Have you a manual/schematic for your CMUcam? If so, the pins it uses should be identified on that.

How are you connecting the CMUcam to your Stamp board?

Assuming the Parallax CMUcam, the schematic is the past page in the manual (http://parallax.com/Portals/0/Downloads/docs/prod/robo/cmucamman.pdf) and the diagram on pages 6 & 7 suggests that the interface of the CMUcam to the Stamp will be thru a 3-pin serial interface.

    Perhaps I misunderstood your question.
