stepper motor

I am having the weirdest problem with my 4 phase stepper motor. It is supposed to be making a full revolutions and instead it just flickers back and forth. I have it hooked up to the darlington array from parallax as it shows in the documentation and even tried the example code with no luck. If you can figure out what the problem might be I would appreciate it.

It sounds like the 4 coils aren't wired up in correct sequence (and therefore aren't firing in the correct sequence). Try swapping the connections to coils 1 and 4, and if that doesn't work, try swapping 2 and 3.

A second possibility is that you don't have enough voltage going to the stepper motor. Check its specifications to see if you're providing adequate voltage for it to operate successfully.

    Husker--

Exactly the same thing has happened to me in the past. And, it was because I did not have the coils connected properly, as Andy suggests.

    Happy New Year!
