nEEd a pR0GRAm...

Could someone send me, show me, or at least point me in the right direction in which I can find a program for my cmu cam1. I need to reajust the focus, but everything I've tried has been to no avail; but one twinkle of light that I have left is do ' dump·frame ' i guess. I suppose this will give me a rough image(s) of what my cam sees... But I am really unexperienced in this sort of thing, and I can't figure out, from the manual, exactly how to write a program that will let me 'DF' (dump a frame).·I realize that most that read this article probably don't necessarily own a cmu cam1, so I appreciate the effort nonetheless...
Thank you.

Sounds like an optical problem, not a programing problem. Give the CMU Cam people a call, I'm sure they'll help you.

Show us what code you have so far. Attach the actual file and we can run it ourselves. How do you know it's not optical?

I don't. That's just the thing, I DON'T HAVE a program, I don't even know where to start, that's what I was asking for. I am quite confident that it's just a focus problem. But if I can't figure out the factory-set focus, then I might have to call seatlle robotics, and ask them; though I would bet money that they wouldn't know either...

If you haven't written a program for the CMU Cam yet, how do you know that that it is out of focus? Just take a look at the Datasheet provided with it. It shouldn't be that difficult to write a simple program for it. Just remember, the people of this forum are here to help you with problems, not to write the program for you.

Yea, I guess you're right. I think This cam is too advanced for the level I'm at. I figure like with everything else, the best way to learn is just to dig in and get alittle dirty. I think I'll tink around with it alittle more, or like suggested earlier, call up the place(s) that made it.

    Thanks anyway...
