·I am looking for a 7" inch diagonal monitor. Vga 256 colors is fine. Price is important, driver chip? Where can I begin to learn about controler chips for monitors?
· Only had my chip a week and already done with everything I can think off. Only think left is rpm and servos.

What i generally say about this matter is:
There are a lot of car monitors made for the headrest or sunshield. Should be below $100, the resolution is throughout 320 x240 - generally called "quarter VGA" - sometimes 480x240.
The TV driver can easily be parametrized for them; but never try to use them with a higher resolution, beware interlacing!

7" VGA monitors (640x480) are rare! It could be less expensive to buy a 15" SVGA PC LCD screen.

Thank you finally someone who answered me. I gave up on this after a week. Looks like I missed your reply. I have seen the car monitors and they look perfect. I don't need high res or fast speed on the chip. I still have no idea where to buy anything. I am fast running out of toys from parallax. I just ordered 2 screens to play with but neither will be my final layout. I just want to start on the electronics side of the equation
I am looking for a 5" to 7" diag. monitor. If anyone knows a good source for electronics parts in the U.S. I would apprecitate a holler.

Everything is above $300. Easy to find at that price.

If your in the United States, you can go to your local Besy Buy store. They have a 7 inch NTSC monitor for about $70. I'm using it in the Propeller Book I'm writing and it works like a champ. Even has a remote.

I will also work with broadcast video since it has a built in tuner as well.

    Regards,
    Oliver

·I don't have a Besy Buy but I will assume you mean BEST BUY. j/k typos are a female dog ehh?· I was in BB yesterday looking for anything cheap with an av plug. They look in the catalog and found me one for $300. I am getting desperate but I think it will take me quite a while to find something. Since I plan to buy them 100 at a time my specs will be a little limited.
    · For now, I just need something to play with. If you or anyone can point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful.
