H-Bridge verification

I have a remote controlled car that broke at least the circuitry broke and would like to turn it into a robot but I am unsure on how to build a h-bridge if I understand correctly and h-bridge is simply four tranistors and these are switched on and off in different patterns to allow the motor to move forward or backward

    Read the article in the Wikipedia ... search for "wiki h-bridge".

    Or look for "stepper motors", many, many examples with microcontrollers out there. Some work just with a simple ULN2803..
