bs2p24/40 demo board

i purchased a bs2p24/40 demo board and bs2pe stamp about 3 years ago and i am finally getting around to trying it.
I cant seem to get it to work and the stamp is overheating. i dont have any documentation on the demo board and i cant seem to find any documentation on this board on parallax web site. Anyone have any info on this board?
