Hi EveryOne

I just bought this meter yesterday and hook up to my desk top computer and it works great

Then let see if i can get it to work on my lap top· computer and it will not

·I try 2 other USB to Serial adpters and even the one that I have for my Basic Stamp no good will not work

Can anyone tell me if there is a USB adpter that act more like a normal serial port

The Parallax USB-to-Serial adapter with the FTDI VCP driver does exactly that.

I try this and it·would not work

I have not try with the· FTDI VCP driver· yet but i will give it a try

Is there any other type that i can try that will work

I have mess up the drivers for·USB adapter·now I·can not·program my Basic
Stamp any more with the lap top

so i going to use the remove tool and reinstall the drivers and see if
i get it working again

Thank You For your help those drivers did the trick on the Parallax USB Adapter and the FTDI VCP driver

Now i got my Meter TO WORK on my lap top but had to change from 9600 to 4800

The problem with the Basic Stamp Test Board that i have

How trouble shoot this was i use another Basic Stamp board that i have and that one works

Now i found why my other·Basic Stamp board the i was talking about· above dose not work when i soldier the serial port plug i did not solider the two holding pins so now there must be one or more·pins broken·because the plug move a lot more then it did
