MIDI Interface? (In and Out)

I'm thinking of taking the plunge and buying a kit (so I can have yet another hobby...)
But my intended application for a Propeller is to build myself a custom MIDI sequencer. Has anybody taken a crack at building MIDI IN/OUT support for the Propeller? I think I saw a brief mention of MIDI IN, but not of out.

MIDI is fundamentally just serial at a particular baud rate with a particular (simple ) hardware interface. The higher level protocol is fairly lightweight in most respects.
