Have you seen the December 2007 issue of SERVO? The project that made the cover uses an SX28 chip to act as a translator to make a SpeakJet emulate an old SC-01 chip. It provides a real world example on how the SX can be used. The response from people reading that article (at least that i've heard) has been excellent. There is a bit of fluff in all magazines but there are still quite a few excellent articles in SERVO and i've always had a subscription to it. At the moment SERVO and Nuts'N'Volts are the main two magazines that I recommend people read if they are interested in this kind of thing. SERVO is definitely geared more toward robotics but a lot of the principles can apply to any mobile device.
I expect you'll see at least a few other projects appearing in SERVO which use the SX family of chips in some fashion...
Can't speak for anyone else but myself but I would want to get both.
There are not that many magazines left that are oriented toward the electronics hobby.· Magazine subscriptions are fairly economical with respect to what to get, so·I get both Nuts and Volts and Servo. I would·also recommend Circuit Cellar (and even AudioXpress if you are interested in that area of the hobby).

I have to second this that Servo because of way to much fluff.
I still get Servo only because every once in awhile they have some thing that i find use full

I have to second this as well
Servo is geared towards hobbyist robotics while Nuts & Volts is more generalized hobbyist electronics.
Nut and Volts would be a better choice
This my two cent worth

Sorry, I should have worded the thread name better. It is an offer from Parallax. But, you have to buy $200.00 to qualify.
Thanks to everyone for your inputs. I intend on getting more into robotics eventually. But for now, Nuts and Volts is the one I will pick.
Merry Christmas and happy new year everyone!
