Well, SuperMill finally made a 4 x 3 PC board. The board is designed for a BS2p, although it will work with any Stamp. I chose theBS2p because it has eight 2K EEPROM storage banks, which is adequate for my purposes. The board has an On-Off switch, power LED, DS1302 with battery, a Senserion SHT11, a ported TL2543 ADC(9 channels available) and a 6-pos header for the XBEE. There four 5VDC/Gnd ports and the five free pins of the Stamp are brought to a female header at the bottom of the Stamp.

The board required six jumpers. For five of them I used .200 shunts, which is much neater. The only wire jumper is for the 5VDC to the XBEE.

I have attached a picture of the board. If you look carefully, you can see the seam, especially on the right-hand side of the board. After the top half was drilled and etched, I went to re-register the board and noticed that the registration pins wobbled a bit, which was unusual. I checked the drill I use to drill the registration holes and I had mistakenly use a .1265 drill instead of a .125. Since I already had the top half finished, I decided to go ahead with what I had. After two re-registers, the board was close enough – not perfect, but still quite usable. I won’t make that mistake again.

The registration process is getting easier and I don’t think I will have any problems in the future with 4 x 3 boards. I have the layout for this one in Expresspcb if anyone is interested.

Sid

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift.

That is why they call it the present.
