Stamps in Class # 27 Stepper motor

Hello All,,,,,· After setting up lesson 27 I can only get the stepper to go in one direction (clockwise) and only gets up to a little more than 1/2 speed by using the 10k pot. When powered up it briefly runs full speed in both directions than stops waiting for pot movement if pot turned all the way one way,or will run at what speed pot is set for in clockwise direction. I·thought when pot was centered it would not move and the direction was controlled by the pot being off center with speed controlled by how far from center.

You have described how the program in lesson 27 is supposed to work. If it doesn't work that way, something must be wrong with your setup. Recheck all your connections. There may be something wrong with how the pot is hooked up.
