Hi Folks,
I just received a PropBus System by R.T Nollet a.k.a 'OZStamp' ..

It is very well laid out -

PropBus MotherBoard
DIP Eeprom, crystal, cap. and two pullup resistors are located under the DIP socketed propeller.
Seperate GND-3.3v and GND-5.0v headers.
Seperate 5v and 3.3v LED's
Diode in series·with Supply header to prevent reverse polarity.
Extremely well ground planed (All unused area on top side of P.C.B)
Generously sized supply tracks - (GND,3.3v and 5.0v)
2 Generously sized heatsinks for regulators.
3 x 10way I/O headers.
Onboard Video and PropPlug headers.
Seperate I2C bus header 6-way (INT,SDA,SCL,0V,5V and 3.3V).
Propeller Pin no.'s labelled on top layer silkscreen.

Kit contents
* 1 off PropBus motherboard
* 3 off Combination in and output boards with indicator + dipswitches
* 1 off Vero board with ribbon connector + other connectors to be able to connected to mother board neatly
* 4 off Ribbon cable to solderless breadboard adapter PCB’s with components
* 1 off Serial port connector to solderless breadboard dip adapter
* 1 off SMD component 8 SOIC adapter PCB for surface mounts components

Of course not, it is supposed to be joke, that is why it is just one word, and not in English smile.gif. There were other descriptions of boards here already. I also looked into Oz's boards and was wandering how they were smile.gif

    Ale ... that's great news .. Phew I couldn't believe it there for a second (actually longer) ... blush.gif

not great at the one word jokes ... especially when that one word is in a different language !

Back to the Propbus .. it is great ..fact NOT Werbung wink.gif

    John

Hello, It looks like a nice board for the Propeller. I didn't see anywhere on the site or in the docs what the actual pin layout for the 10-pin connectors are. That is something that would help for anyone who wants to use that board. Is it posted somewhere?

That sounds good. I'm thinking about doing my own board design soon... Main things I'd add are:

    SD card reader
    DS1307+ Real time clock
ENC28J60 for ethernet (assuming I can figure out how to use it one day...)

I think I like the idea of using the DIP40 Prop, so it can be easily replaced...

Think I'll also use a DB9 serial connection to program the Prop. USB to serial adapeters are pretty cheap...

    Hi·
Attached the pdf for the layout of the IDC headers on the Prop Motherboard
Rayman.. why not make an ·adapter board(s) to my platform.??
I will send you a empty panel so you can get it going..
Email me and give me details so we can discuss further if needed.
I have the same idea of adding those type of modules.. and more.
Working on a 3 channel high speed encoder system using the motherboard as the main CPU card.
Thats why we copper poured it .. it is not a toy board really..
Aimed at educational and pro market.. all I/O (handyI/O blks pcb's)·are protected against damage ..

    Cheers

I want to have some working soft before I do any more pcbs... I already have some without (that much) soft (not propeller related).

Decided to run it as a test in an industrial environment ... no problems ..Have to say regs run pretty cool ...fairly flogging it at the mo . It is a great job IMO...
