Brainboard programming options for Macs or Linux

Hi
I have a Scoutwalker III and both the PIC and Atmel Sumovore Brainboard add-ons. I have a Mac notebook and a Linux machine, but no Windoze machine nor a parallel port.

I have a PIC programmer that I can use with my Mac via a USB->Serial adapter but I would actually prefer to get familiar with the Atmel and start using that. Does anyone know of any options for programming the Atmel with my available machines? I have an AVR ISP cable it's an ATAVRISP2-ND that I picked up once for another project, could that be used? Or if not can anyone recommend another option?

Thanks much
---Raymond

This is a Parallax support forum. Your questions would be better answered on a Microchip or Atmel support forum. We have all kinds of information about downloading to Stamps and Propeller and SX processors using Macs and some information for Linux (mostly for Stamps).

Whoops! How embarassing - I meant to put this on the Solarbotics support forum roll.gif

Thanks and sorry for the noise!
