Was the siteplayer ever a supported Parallax gizmo?

Hello!
I just took possession (read bought one today.) of a siteplayer SP1 module www.siteplayer.com/main_content.htm and I seem to remember that while the entire forum was running on Yahoo, that particular gizmo was discussed both right and left (also up and down and inside and out) by the members.
Part of the problem is that while in a book written by author and NYU professor Tom Igoe mentions in his book "Physical Computing" the BS2, he also mentions the gizmos made by the current competitors of Parallax, and on his website where he discusses the favored application for the device. And naturally on the site the view would then find it being used there with one of them, not surprisingly also made by the same firm.
Both the book and the gizmo can be found at the NYU bookstore computer annex. I didn't see any Parallax parts, but that does not mean that the school isn't aware of them as I recall seeing a student carrying a BOE-BOT not too long ago.
