How·much time does it take for· Parallax compass GPS module to lock on to position?
and what is the resolution of the module 5',10'etc.

Worst case lock on time is 5 minutes.

There's a Wikipedia article (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Positioning_System#Accuracy_and_error_sources) that discusses accuracy.
Best accuracy is about 9 meters. This cannot be significantly improved without either having the keycodes for the military signal or a fixed reference point with a position reference transmitter placed there.
