need help with keypad

im using a 3x4 keypad with the basic stamp as part of a security system project. the LCD im using to display is a MOS-AL 162A-XR3SE company is matrix orbital. it·has a TTL input.· I'm wondering if i can display digits with just the use of decoders and incoders and the basic stamp. please help with ideas
