brushed motor speed control

I have found a number of companies that·sell a motor speed controller that fits my specs, which are:

can handle up to 25amps
work with Li Poly 3 cell batterys.
6-12·Volts.

However, many of these appear that they are designed to be controlled by a remote control and receiver, as in a hobby RC airplane.· Am I able to hack into these to program with the stamp?

It sounds from your description that these are designed to look like conventional servo motors to the R/C receiver. This would be much the same as Parallax's HB-25 motor controller. If this is the case and they are designed to substitute for a conventional servo motor, then the Stamp can control them just like it can control 2 or 3 servo motors. It would not really be hacking since this is how they're designed to work.
