In cooperation with Parallax, I will be hosting a 3 hour workshop at the American Technical Educator's Association (ATEA) national meeting, April 2 - 4th in Biloxi, Mississippi.· This workshop will focus on programming and electronics using the graphics abilities and gaming possibilities with the Propeller.· See the link at:
http://www.ateaonline.org/index.html
The workshop is free with the conference.· Around 10 people with laptops will have the opportunity to program along with the presentation.
To see what my students have been working on, please visit:
http://www.siu.edu/~mhebel/est342/vid_proj/index.htm
I will also be presenting at a regular lecture session discussing aspects of teaching microcontrollers using the Propeller as opposed to using more standard flavors and the students' reaction in comparison.
Freebies? Who knows :)· We developed a Propeller board in the class that we will probably be using in the workshop, and bare PCB's are definite possibility for a give-away, and possibly more with door prizes!· To see our board (the SelmaWare version to help recover my course expenses), visit:

I've had an exciting semester teaching with the Propeller and using the HYDRA text and I'm excited to share with others!·

· They have a RCA adapter for TV output, so they would be quite useful as a stand-alone development board.

We PM'd, but Terry is sending me some to show / give away as door prized. I, of course, will list Terry and his company as a contributing sponsor. If anyone else would like to supply a few of their devices as door prizes, I'd be more than happy to discuss them, how they apply in the classroom, and be added as a contributing sponsor to any documents given out.
I try to use SelmaWare to cover my school expenses, but I never push people to buy 'my stuff' at conferences I attend - I'd rather give away, but would be more than happy to push others' as long as it has a good place and a I know it's of value.
In all honesty, I'm not sure what to expect for turn-out at the conference. The last few have had very little electronics-tech people, and this is one reason I'm doing the workshop - a means to draw more in. So, I can't promise a a big number of attendees, but it's worth an effort and I know the Propeller can be exciting addition to classrooms in several areas of study.
Sincerely,
Martin

Perhaps I can send you some SpinStudio hardware as well. It appears that your emphasis is on video/gaming, I'll provide you with some SpinStudios with video and SD card adapters(maybe a sampling of some other modules as well), both for the demonstrations and door prizes.
I'll PM you for your address.
