Parallax used to sell a sx-electronic badge for about $7 to $9.··

do they still sell it or they stop producing them?

Yeah, you're right. I looked all over and couldn't find it either.

You'll have to call them. They said it was limited, but I would think they still have some left.

I think you might be refering to the original badge called the RoboOlympic badge. Recently they were redesigned somewhat and labeled on the Parallax site as RoboGames badge of which I bought one. This is the only reference to a badge that I know of. Since their new site went up, the old link to their RoboGames badge no longer works.

I emailed Parallax to find out if they still have this product for sale, if not I will have to make my own.

I am trying to control 40 LED's (actually motors), so I might try charlieMultiplexing with either the BS2, the SX, few 74HC595 or the MAX7219 for
    my current project.

·Almost 17 months with this project, and just now starting with the electronics, any input will be appreciated.

The product is discontinued, but thanks to Jim Carey, I will be able to get some for experimentation.

Thanks Jim... You guys are amazing

I built the RoboGames medal and expanded it to from 15 columns to 40 columns with·a variation in the design. However, since I am an SX/B beta tester I have the latest unreleased SX/B which one new feature allows arrays on an SX-28 to be larger than 16. So I utilized this in the design. Check out the link and especially the YouTube video.

I believe an SX-28 has larger arrays (more than 16) so it·should be·possible to do this on an SX-48 protoboard too - until SX/B v2.0 is released in the future (I don't know when).

T&E I am still in the mechanical part of my robotic arm but very soon will start the circuitry, programing of it. I posted a picture above to see if anyone can help.

The arm has 40 actuators, and I need to control each one separate. my idea was to take each LED signal; amplifying it, so each signal controlled one actuator.· I will make some schematics later to explain.

    any ideas?
