7 shades of gray via page flipping

I can get 7 effective shades of gray by page-flipping between two 2-bit images...
This seems to work well for CRT monitors.· It also works on my LCD monitor, but causes a strange, burn-in like affect if the image is shown for a while...· Hence, the disclaimer:·
This·program may cause monitor damage!· I'm not responsible for any damage you suffer!
I may also use this trick to alternate between red and blue 2-bit preview images for 3d... :)

I'm trying your demo, and Ican't see the picture as you post....seems to have an "H" problem.
My monitor is a CRT samsung SVGA.... Could be an interlaced problem ??
Sorry...you also name the file as: Max_8shades_small.dat...and in the code it is Max_7shades_small.dat.
Is the file correct ?
