Power Inductor?

Hi-
If I'm using a switcher such as the LM2567 (3A), do I need an inductor capable of handling 3A? Mouser's ones always come with a current rating.
Thanks

Raf

You've got to play the game.
You can't win.
You can't break even, except on a very cold day.
It doesn't get that cold.

The coil is involved in the driver transistor circuit and therefore subject to the full current of the load.· You would need a 3A coil... not just the right value coil.
