SX/B vars and ASM bank instruction on SX48/52

I purchased an SX/48/52 protoboard that I'm going to play around with over the long holiday weekend... when using SX/B on the 48/52, will operations on variables automatically set FSR.7?
When using ASM within SX/B on the same device, should I presume I will need to use the common _bank macro to set FSR.7 for me? I ususally use ASM in my ISRs and SX/B in the mainline program.

Comments
Yes, if you in assembly. In SX/B just use "BANK" with no parameter to restore the default bank.
