SX and Propeller in Class

Is there any plans to make a series of SX or Propeller "in Class" books?

I've just completed all of the SIC series and started learning Assembly·with " Programming the SX Microcontroller: A Complete Guide" and the other online books. I am struggling a little definately not as easy as the Basic Stamp.

I was just hoping, I could use a little spoon feeding if you don't mind.

Thanks

Just a little product suggestion

I agree, I wish they did make them for the sx chip.· The Nuts & Volts columns help, but I find they are frequently either way too simplified and easy, or way too complex for me to grasp all the info on them.

    Thanks,

I asked about this a while ago. Chip said that the closest thing for the Propellor chip would be the PE Kit Labs. Not sure about the SX though.

    I also agree,

I'm currently learning Spin, for the Propeller, and·the on-line Propeller education material is a great suppliment to the Propeller Manual.

Both the manual and education material are on the Propeller download page:

It doesn't look like the SX has a counter-part to the Prop. Ed. material. sad.gif

For SX chip beginners, try the draft of Jon Williams' latest book-in-progress, "Practical SX/B - No Assembly Required"

    sam_sam -

I just downloaded it, so I can assure you it's there. It's an attachment to the message the link directs you to. I right clicked on the attachment, and used "save target as".

    Regards,

    Thanks for checking that Bruce!

Sam, if it still won't download for you for some reason, PM me and I can send it as an email attachment.

    This book is great,

Is there a target date for the release of part 3?

    Hi Brian128,

No I don't have a target date; I have not received the draft for Part III from the author yet. If you post an inquiry in the SX forum, the author may reply since he frequents that forum. He'd also be happy to hear that you like what's been written so far; maybe that will inspire him!
