Is anyone using the Servo Pal·with their BOE Bot yet. I was wondering how much·improvement·is noticable. (has anyone done any sort of benchmark tests?)
It seems like such a great idea and it would be hard to go wrong at only $20.

My concern would be that a 16 servo servo controller is $40, the servo pal is $20. That servo controller is very handy and easy to use. It's hard to see why you would get the other thing unless you needed it for your BOE and had no plans to do anything else with it.

    George,
The ServoPal would be very handy for managing one to four servos (using two ServoPals) with a Stamp that's fairly busy doing other things, something that you might have used a PWMPAL for in the past (and been unhappy with the PWMPAL's behavior when updating the timing). With more servos, you really want something like the PSC or a Propeller.

I'm planning to order a ServoPal for my "FauxBoe" just to remove the load of updating the pulses while the BS2e handles information from a CMUcam, two wheel encoders, two ADC channels, an LCD panel, LEDs, Buttons, and what ever port I decide to use to interface the kitchen sink. I also use 32 port servo controllers for other projects. I like having a good sized pile of stuff to pull from to build the next robot that will take over the world.
It seems logical to me that a ServoPal would still be cheaper than hacking two digital servos.
