HELP!! Mouse encoder for robot.
Hi all,
I am trying to use mouse encoder for mapping but i don't know how.

Can anybody guide me? I need to know how to implement this encoder to my robot such as what hardware do i need.

The stamp is to slow to interface directly with a PS2 keyboard/mouse.
AWC Electronics provides two custom uprocessors complete with ceramic resonators that provide an interface between a PS2 mouse and a TTL RS232 9600 host. Such as a Parallax Stamp.
Links, applications notes complete with PBasic code to interface to the Parallax BS2 products are attached.
Mouse X & Y registers, direction, overflow·and buttons can be interfaced.
Somewhere on u-tube there is a robot utilizing a track-ball mouse. Google/Yahoo it.

Thanks for the feedback. I've take a look at the pak6 but i think it's too complicated for a newbie like me.
Anyway I after google for some time i found this encoder circuit by Ibrahim Kamal on his web site.

He's using LM 358 but know the problem is how am i going to connect this encoder to Basic Stamp what command to use in Pbasic. I just want somebody to guide me trough this process and i am going to code by myself.
Here i attached the circuit and the complete assemble parts photo.
I have·never used it but it looks pretty easy to use. Hope this helps.
