GP2D12 and Propeller

Hi

I´m thinking of buying a Sharp GP2D12 IR sensor (http://www.elfa.se/pdf/75/07520638.pdf). This sensor gives a analog signal. The output ampere is propotional with the distance to the object. I have heard that propeller has a integrated A/D-converter or something like that. How does this work, someone who have some example code?

I think you'd be better off with a proper ADC chip. You will need a transimpedance amplifier also, if the sensor has a current output.

Leon is right. I'm using an TLC 0834 ADC in combination with an GP2D12. a Good sample how to handle the TLC 0834 can be found within http://obex.parallax.com/objects/category/8/
