Oekaki is japanese for drawing or doodling. It also refers to software used in many online communities to share art work. I think the Parallax forums should have a Curcuit Oekaki that would allow users to create and share circuit designs and program flow charts from within the forums. What do you think?

It seems that folks do this now... if you have an interesting piece of art work (such as a schematic, PCB layout, technical drawing, mechanical drawing, flowchart, etc.), write up your projec and attach your file. Here is a perfect example...http://forums.parallax.com/forums/default.aspx?f=6&m=67242

Steve while it is nice to be able to attach a file, what I was considering would be more like a circuit diagraming program built right into the forum interface. That way you would be able to add a diagram with out having to leave the forum, create, save and upload the diagram. More over some of us lack the sort of software to do this and MS paint falls so short of the mark.

There are lots of free circuit diagramming software packages on the market already... many like Eagle, PCB123, and ExpressPCB are free... Not quite sure how many folks would want to learn another system just to save a little "cut and paste" every so often. But again, just my thoughts...

One of the problems that will crop up immediately with an online schematic generator is a lack of needed symbols. When using my PC-resident schematic program, for example, every two or three circuits requires a symbol that doesn't exist, which I then have to create and add to the program's library. This might be an insurmountable problem in a Java or Flash program run from a person's browser. I don't know if library management (either client- or server-based) is even possible in such an environment.
