Color Sensor and Basic Stamp Mobo Help Needed

I purchased a Basic Stamp 2pe Mobo and Color Sensor and I'm having problems getting it up and going.

The first thing I did was download the Basic Stamp Editor and sent the code to it for the board, in the process of doing this the editor said it didn't see a basic stamp and asked if I wanted to choose another processor so I chose the 2pe and it changed the fist line of code accordingly, I then chose run. ·Next I closed out the editor and brought up the TCS230Match program on the computer and it scanned my ports and connected, I am using comport 6. At that point I tried doing a white balance and I'm getting nothing on the color match screen. The leds do strobe on the color sensor though!

Thanks,
Kevin

If the PBASIC program you're using indicated it was for the BS2, instead of the BS2pe, you've got an older version that won't work with the MoBo. The correct version is on the TCS230-DB product page. Try that one and see if it works better.

BTW, from which page did you download the BS2 version? Can you provide the link?

    Thanks,
    Phil

I thought for sure it was from the color sensor page.

Got the .bpe code and now works great! I guess I should have realized the problem. I did download that code from the sensor page but it has been a while back.idea.gif

Now I just need to do some led ambient light calibrating.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
