This is my first completed Javelin Stamp project. The circuit is connected to the headphone output of either a communication radio or a mobile phone, and is controlled with DTMF-tones sendt over the radio/mobile. It has a simple menu system and requires a PIN code to perform commands (switch a relay on or off). It has two buildt in relay ports using a CP Clare LAA110 semi conductor relay. The semi conductor relay can be wired up to steer a 250V external relay to control mains voltage.

Parts used:
1 Javelin Stamp
1 MAX603 5V voltage regulator
1 MT3271B DTMF tone receiver
1 CP Clare LAA110 two in one semiconductor relay with two separate inputs
2 10uF 25V electrolyte capacitors
3 180ohm 1/4W resistors
2 ~ 54ohm 1/8W resistors
1 0.1uF tantal electrolyte capacitor
1 4.194304MHz crystal resonator
2 Micro Match 8pin PCB connectors
3 optional decoupling capacitors (2 1nF and 1 10nF)
1 500mA fuse super fast
1 100mA fuse
1 4-18Vdc battery or external power supply
1 communication radio receiver or mobile phone(phone set to automatically take all calls)
1 communication radio transmitter or mobile phone capable of sending standard DTMF phone tones

Comments and suggestions are welcome!

    Update:

I have modificated the PCB, by cutting connection of +5V to the Vin pin of the Javelin, and instead strap connected the Vdd pin of the Javelin to the +5V optput of the MAX603 regulator, to bypass the Javelins internal regulator.

    Picture of completed board added.

Interesting project.· What do you intend on using it for?

I assume the phone has to be connected (or picked up), or does it pick up the line after so many rings?·

I just bought a home control device to control my thermostats for my cabin in TN, which it sounds like it does the same thing, but it is able to interface to each of the t-stats in the house.

Your's would be cooler though, because you could get it to control whatever you wanted.

It does not pick up the phone, you will have to set the phone to automatically pick up all calls. Most cell phones have this feature. I use an FMR radio as a receiver for the box and control it with my amateur radio.
