EEPROM Module

I have just finished a new EEPROM module - a picture is attached with a quarter alongside for size comparison.· The module is a 12pin .600 DIP.· If you make your own DIP socket from Samtec or Digikey strip sockets, as I plan to do, there is about .250 clearance between the bottom of the module and the PC board.· That is plenty of room to mount other components or run traces.· There is no circuitry on the bottom of the module so there is no danger of shorting something.

Pins 1-6 and Pin 11 are all Vss connections, any one of which can be used.· Pins 7 and 12 are Vdd connections, either of which may be used.· SDA/SCL pullups are 10K.· There are only·five connections to the module, Vss, Vdd, Res on Pin 8, SDA on Pon 9 and SCL on Pin 10.· I used a 24LC512 EEPROM, but any of the 24LC EEPROMs could be used.

I have also attached the Expresspcb layout, which you can view if you have Expresspcb.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift.

That is why they call it the present.
