I can check the actual execution time if need be, but bear in mind the command actually takes a finite length plus the overhead. In other words it will take longer to send, “Mary had a little lamb” than “Mary had a lamb”. The length of the data is added to the equation.

Chris, I'm Guillaume from L et Cie/Robots-shop one of your french distributor. I spoke with Raphael today and they are using the same code and output length on the BS2PX24 and the BS2P24. He made quite precise mesurement and the average speed is 1.4 time faster on the PX but for the LCDOUT where is 21 times slower !!!
Do you have any idea ?
We have confirmed that there is a longer delay in the pacing/timing of the LCDOUT command on the BS2px24. We were not aware of this until now and will investigate it. Any fixes would be in a future firmware release. Thanks for making us aware of this. Take care.

1. Has this been fixed? I noticed the last posting is from Nov. 2007.
2. How would I go about measuring the speed of commands on my BS2? I've noticed many people mentioning this as well as measuring the microprocessors temperature (not the surround area, the chip itself). I'm curious as to how these measurements are taken.

I apologyze for the short previous message.
The problem is :
the execution of the LCDOUT command takes 0.4ms on the BS2P24
and the same command in the same program run on the BS2PX24 takes 8.5ms , 21 times more
Thanks for your support.
Regards,
Raphael.

Two questions, please.

Thank you.
