obtaining servo position

I'm currently using the Parallax Servo Controller·to control twelve HS 311 servos.

with the "!SCRSP" x $0D, ch·command, the servo channel would report the desired position of the servo in x channel to me; however, it is not the actual position of the servo if it is stalled, and i like to know if it is possible to obtain the actual position of a stalled servo. thanks.

No, a 'servo' is a closed feedback loop -- the 'servo' comparator gets the position of the servo feedback resistor. It doesn't 'report out' to anybody, though.

cool, i found that "smart servo" can be used for this purpose.
