OEM BS2: Wrong Impression of VDD and VSS?

All--

On my BOE, I get regulated 5vdc between VSS and VDD.

Using my OEM BS2 in a breadboard, I get the battery voltage between VSS and VDD (and between VSS and any output pin set high).

Can you please clear up my misunderstanding? Is there a way to get regulated 5vdc off an OEM Stamp?

Thanks!

If Vin is wired to the positive side of the battery, Vdd should be +5.0V and Vss is ground

    BS2-OEM, on the SIP-strip, connector "X1":
    • Pin 18 is positive input (what you're calling battery voltage)
    • Pin 19 is Vss/Ground
    • Pin 20 is +5V from the regulator "VR1" (VDD)

    Forrest and PJ Allen--

I had it right when I proto-typed it. But, somewhere between doing that and building it I forgot and screwed up. When I made the changes you provided, everything was good again!

    Thank you.
