HSS FXSynth keys

This would qualify for the "half-baked" section, but I thought I'd post it
and encourage others to play with the HSS FXSynth stuff.
(Sometimes it helps to see more than one example how to use something.)
Keyboard input is translated to FXSynth, data is displayed.
This demo is intended for proto/demo board users with keyboard.

I've been trying to find a simple solution for producing "game quality"·sounds from a chip.
Basically on the lines of "put Midi In and get Audio out" and been frustrated to the point of desperation.
I've looked at :
1. http://oopic.com/soundgin/
But it seems to be "Monophonic" and the documentation (what documentation ?) really sucks.
2. http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/product_card.asp?part_id=4142
This is like the Holy Grail to me.
The price is supposed to be under 10 bucks .Oh my God watta chip ....
... if·only I could find someone who would sell one to me (or actually 10).
Yes, I've tried, tried, tried and tried·and could not succeed to buy a single chip from anywhere.
No one actually sells these . What a shame.
3. This Hydra thingie
The docs (again what docs ?) are really not too helpful on the subject of using it like a synth.
Your little sample helps , but still leaves a lot of questions that the docs do not provde answers to.
The midi stuff is easy to do with propeller, but the behaviour·of HSS is a bit of a mystery.
So if someone knows how to· make HSS behave like the ATSAM2195 (or has already done something similar),
please share your wisdom with us.
Greetings,
Petri.

This critter-thing seems interesting too.
I browsed their forum and heard some really nice sounding examples.
http://www.tekgnosis.net/mike/firstsynth/critter.mp3
The guy is presumably using his keyboard as the source of midi notes and some controller data to for filtering.
I am under the impression that all this should be doable with HSS running on propeller as well .
please tell me if I'm right or wrong
Petri.

This was written for the Hydra, but I had a fairly easy time of converting it to run on my protoboard.
