Edge Clip Leads, any interest?

I have been looking for the edge clip leads similar to what's used on Sensirion's SHT71 / SHT75 sensor. I haven't had any luck finding them in low volume. I can purchase a 30,000 piece reel however. shocked.gif So I got thinking. I only need about 700 for a project I am working on and I could probably unload the rest at cost for others to use. (~ $2 for 100) Would anyone be interested?

    Could you post a picture or a link to the part you want to "unload" ?

    at $2 for a 100, you can put me down for $6 or $8 dollars worth! How will you ship? How do I arrange payment?

    I am still working on the details. In my searching, I have seen some older posts about these types of pins and that's why I figured there might be interest in them. Since I want to use them as a solution for a particular project, I can justify the initial hit costwise.

    The pins are BA4104, which is very close to the BA4100 from Batten & Allen, but not listed on their site. I am waiting for a full spec sheet. http://www.batten-allen.com/products/SIL

    When I get the final details on the sourcing and quantity, I will come up with a plan for the excess. I am not looking to make money off them, so whatever is easiest will work.

    They look intriguing and I can see some possible uses for them, but what is the black plastic bit at the top end for? What does it look like behind this?

    If you can ship to the UK for a reasonable rate (i'll pay postage of course), you can put me down for $10 worth to make it worth both of our times.

    The black thing at the top is the Sensirion SHT71 sensor... it is just a picture showing the edge clips (the gold color "pins" at the botom), a green PCB and the black Sensirion Sensor. the part that we are talking about here is just the edge clip part.

    You might also want to check out this company located in PA USA. http://www.die-tech.org/silsipoffset.htm
    Actually about 20 minutes from my house, I think a visit is in order.

    I did try Die-Tech actually. Apart from the horrible customer service they told me that most of the ones they make that would work are out of stock or have 40k minimums and high pricing. The only one that was close was:

    ~~~~~~
    P/No- LF-5178-10-510, Base Alloy 510 Phosphor Bronze, Plated: 60/40 SN/PB .000250/.000400 HOT DIP PLATE +/-10% LEAD
    I have just one partial reel available Qty = 22.9M for a lot charge of $750.00 if you are interested
    ~~~~~~

    (22.9M means 22,900)

    I can see where those pins would work out, for small SMT carrier-boards while prototyping, custom daughterboards and similar.

    You can put me down for 5 strips of 100(Or whatever is the most practical length for shipping), assuming a cost of no more than $3/100, cheapest freight and 'not now'(won't have any spare cash until december, at least).
