BSLA is not reacting

Hi,


I'm will using the Basic Stamp Logical Analyzer.
After intalling the drivers, the Basic Stamp is working on my PDB.
But the BSLA is not reacting.
message "no BSLA"
When I change the USB port, BSLA is asking for drivers!

Can someone help me with some tips?

Jan, what device is it detecting when it asks you for drivers? What is the name it reports?

Hello,

In both cases it helps to go into your Device Manager and see what appears in the device list when the BSLA is connected. The reason it is important to install the software/drivers first is that on some machines, when the drivers are not present Windows will contact the Microsoft Windows Update site and attempt to download and install “compatible” drivers, which may not be compatible.

Well, we could issue an RMA and have the device sent in for testing. Usually the PC will identify the device with a little bubble at the bottom of the screen. With it not doing that could indicate a problem as we’ve never seen that particular issue before. In the few cases before the device was identified incorrectly, but identified, nonetheless.
