Does anyone know anything about the MoBo Stamo 2pe bug bot shown here?

Has there been a post about this somewhere?
(found something very old, but not much else)

    Whit,

It's still in prototype form. There's a "navigation" daughterboard that plugs into the MoBoStamp-pe, along with a battery board, a couple mini servos (like the ones used on the Penquin), and miscellaneous mechanical parts. The nav board is the holdup right now. It includes a couple IR emitter/receiver pairs and sockets for compass, tilt sensor, and Ping)). The IR emitters are soldered to the board and hang out over the edge. While this is okay for the MoBug, they may get in the way of other apps. So I've been trying to figure out a way to bring them inboard without their shining directly into the detectors. Mounting them underneath the board with the detectors on top is one possible solution. But other, more pressing daughterboard designs have taken precedence, and the MoBug sits forelornly on a shelf, waiting for its day in the sun.

    Thanks Phil,

I appreciate the update. Don't know how I missed this for so long. It sure looks neat in the video. Hope it makes it off the shelf one day. I hate to think what other cool bots are sitting around on you guy's shelves. shocked.gif

No idea. It has one small sheet metal part that needs fabricating, along with legs that get cut out of G10 material. Those are just the "known unknowns"...

Thanks Phil. I can tell a pretty good bit by the picture and movie.
