Composite video to vga is it possible

I looked at my demo board an noticed that it has a vga and composite video port on it and I would like to be able to use my monitor like a tv. Is it even possible to convert the composite video to vga video with the prop. If it is how would it be done.

    It's theoretically possibly, but it would require an external sync separator and high speed analog to digital converter. The resolution would be limited by the available Prop memory and would probably not be satisfactory.

    If you have a llok at how both signals are generated and what they mean... you will discover that the process is not that simple. Have a look at the wikipedia pages for some more info. btw, there was a thread some time ago about a related topic. have a search smile.gif.

    Do not be scared, would be awesome to have some conversion... real time I mean, with the prop !
