Video Stream on the web. [working thanks for the help]

I'm using a logitech quick cam for and a program called Vision GS www.visiongs.de/ it's a very useful program and it's worked well for many other applications, but when i'm streaming Video over the web, it generates code that embeds windows media player, everything works but it buffers for 5 seconds, if I'm viewing a bot for web control I can't be that far behind. I've tried to have it not buffer but for some reason no matter what I set it to it buffers for 5 seconds. I think the issue lies with windows media player.

Question: does anyone know a video streaming program/method that will give very close to real time streaming? I will eventually be buying a wireless camera that will be on the bot so a wireless camera/program package would be good also.

I know it's not just a lag issue it buffers for 5 seconds even on the same computer as the cam.

Thanks

Your in luck. We'll never catch you with that link. It's a private address used by your local network and not reachable from the Internet.

I had a look at the software site, in the initial setup it has a FTP upload time interval setting, like a delay adjustable in seconds. Just wondering if this could be the problem?

oh your are right I have to keep changing th link to look at the cam from home, I posted the wrong IP. the FTP interval is for uploading still images to a host server not for streaming. but thanks for the effort I'll fix the IP

It works, but only after using the WAN button. After that the picture showed up but the connection was constantly refreshing even though the picture didn't change.

Steve, I have seen that but I totally forgot about it! I'm really going to have to get into it. especially since I have to use a PC to to stream the images anyway.

Added: Steve, I'm most likely not going to have anything to show this weekend I think I fried the Max232 chip on my bot, it works I just can't communicate with it to reprogram it.... but I think I'll be done enough to post the Pink code and web pages.

lol ya I was bumbed.. as I was connecting the serial cable there was a big "ZAP" of static and I was like oh man!!!!! luckily the stamp still works.

can someone using Vista and IE try the streaming... i got a message about it not working. I'm streaming on port 85. I'm betting it's a firewall issue.
