Clock speed of Shiftin/Shiftout commands?

Hi All,

I'm using a BS2 OEM board to communicate with an AD9959 chip over an SPI interface. But the input to the AD chip uses 3.3V logic and not 5V logic so I am looking around for a suitible level translator to convert the incoming data to the appropriate voltage. But I'm wondering if anyone knows what speed the Shiftin/Shiftout commands clock data out so I can find the appropriate speed·level translator.

God Bless,
Jason O

I think you can just use a 4.7K resistor in series with the chip's input.· Its output with a 3.3V logic level should be enough to drive the Stamp.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift.

That is why they call it the present.

    Jason,

·· The clock speeds for SHIFTIN/SHIFTOUT for each model of BASIC Stamp are listed in the Help File and the BASIC Stamp Manual for those commands.· I hope this helps.· Take care.
