Hitachi H48C Zero G feature

Hi,

I have a·question,·how do you activate the "Free-fall" feature for the Hitachi H48C·accelerometer? I'm·trying to·get simple acceleration readings without the influence of gravity. Do you·connect it to an output pin and then set it to high?

Thanks for your time,

·

    omin,

The "Free-fall" feature is not something that you activate, rather it is an output pin from the H48C that goes HIGH when it senses that it is in free-fall.
Negating wind resistance, when you drop an object as it is falling, it is basically weightless... the H28C senses this and actively makes the output pin HIGH during free-fall.

Ahhh,·I understand. That way can know if an external force besides gravity is affecting the device at any given point in time.

    Thank You
