Hall Effect Sensor
I'm looking for a hall effect sensor I can directly connect to a microcontroller like the Stamp.· So, the output will have to be +5v and 0v.· I've searched all over and the only one I can find isn't in stock anywhere, so I'm guessing it's not manufactured anymore.·
Oh yeah, it would need to be a larger package (not one of those tiny things that are hard to solder).
I spent a lot of time looking on google, so thanks a lot for helping me.

Finding a supplier for a given type of Hall Effect sensor is fairly trivial. However, you need to know what kind of Hall Effect sensor you need. Merely based on what you've said so far, I suspect you may be looking for a Hall Effect "switch". These will output a 1 in the presense of a magnetic field, and a 0 in the absense of such a field. Even if that is the case, more information may be required to find a Hall Effect switch suitable for your particular application.
If you indicate the application or purpose for this sensor we may be able to provide additional feedback.
Other types have differing outputs (see below) and respond to differing magnetic·stimuli (also see below):

I usually look to Allegro Micro for my Hall Effect sensor needs. Here is a link to their Hall Effect sensors:

They also have a rather liberal samples policy, so long as it isn't abused.

It looks like the one on the parallax site will work just fine.
Thanks a lot.
