I've not seen them. I've got a BoeBot and use the 4 cell holder that came with it along with a standard single cell holder from RadioShack that's hot glued on top of the platform above the pivot ball and connected in series with the 4 cell holder. Works fine and costs about a dollar.

    Brian,
I asked the same question, and I discovered that they do exist, but they hang out with the unicorns and mermaids.
IOW they are very hard to find.
I have several hundred on the way, and I should have them available sometime next week.

    Bean.

My 7.5 volt solution has always been a modified 6 cell holder. Remove the positive wire from the sixth cell location and solder it to the negative spring of the sixth cell location (so it is directly connected to the positive contact of the 5th cell). For a custom design that required 7.5 volts, we did this and used the space from the sixth cell to house a switch and 3.5mm jack. We used a holder that looked exactly Digikey's BH26AAW-ND

Solder a 2 and 3 cell holder in series and you are good to go.

For almost 5 years, kentjc913 has been trying to provide an answer to just ONE thread, and since then, his mind has been set on this one. For years every spare moment of time was spent up looking, searching, crawling every corner of webspace for the answer to ONE QUESTION. Finally, the day came. On page 28,592 of google search results, he found it. The solution to the problem he had spent years trying to find! He copied the link immediately and saved it to 5 separate files just so that his years of work did not become undone. He went to the forum post, bookmarked of course with extra links on his desktop just in case. To his horror the forums had changed, but with a little bit of work he managed to find the original thread in the new-looking forums. Then came the moment he dreamed of. He selected "Quick Reply", copied the external link, and POSTED IT INTO THE FORUM FOR ALL TO SEE! THE END OF YEARS OF SEARCHING! So is the tale of kentjc913, the little known forum member with big ambitions of finding the 5 cell battery holder.

That, or he just replied to an old thread because he changed his sort settings and didn't check the date. Same thing. :P
