Tokenizer 1.23 not supporting bs2px24?

In attempting to use the tokenizer v1.23 to compile code and download to a bs2px24, I am receiving the following error:

"Compilation Error: 204-Expected a target module: BS2, BS2E, BS2SX, BS2P, or BS2PE."

I then realized that the docs for the tokenizer indicate that the px series is not supported. Is there a newer version of the tokenizer that does. Why was this chip left out of support in the tokenizer library?

It would be nice if it supported the BS1 as well.

The tokenizer has not been updated to support the BS2px. The tokenizer is not really used to compile code for the BS1. There was a BS1 compiler for DOS and it's been included in the Stamp Basic IDE pretty much intact as I understand.

The BS1 is still a BASIC Stamp, and like the BS2px should have been added to the tokenizer a long time ago. The problem for us Stamp users is the Propeller which consumes most of Parallax's development resources. We (EFX-TEK) have lots of non-Windows customers who are forced up to our Prop-2 (a BS2 product) because they can't program the BS1 on their [older] Mac systems.
