Brace yourselves experts...

Our first meeting of "The Orrville Microcontroller Interest Group" was tonight...
details: 67.104.29.60/forums/default.aspx?f=15&m=217761

We'll start with the PE-kit training next month, and work our way through the
LABS, as well as electronics basics. Suggestions for projects?

    Oldbit,

    Way 2 Go Guys!!!

The Central Illinois Propeller User's Group (CiPug), the first user's group devoted to the Propeller, looks forward to a happy confederation.

Lucas ... CiPug's other member has been busy brushing shoulders with a gaggle of Democrats in Iowa... so he cannot join me welcoming The Orrville Microcontroller Interest Group to the Federation of Propeller User's Groups.

CiPug joins you in challenging Propeller lovers everywhere to share the word, share the wealth and bring in new blood!

(We cannot encourage your sharing of beer and pizza with teens and preteens, but if that is what it takes, who are we to question your methods? :)

As to projects... WE NEED A CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! USB, SERIAL... single pixel... we don't care.

There are other groups based on Propeller!! Way Cool!

I thought I was blazing some new territory. No, we did not
serve Beer and Pizza. This is a football town, and as such
we refer to this area as Football, Beer and Pizza. We had
5 pizza shops at one time in a town with only one Mcdonalds!

Perhaps you can share of what has worked in other clubs?
(But let's carry that over to the Sandbox thread... :)

I was at the Orrville Microcontroller Interest Group on WED. I feel Jeff Ledger did a fine job bringing us into a new world of computing. I own a Propeller Proto Board now and I can't wait to get going on this. Congrats!! Jeff, a job well done. hop.gifturn.gifroll.gif

    hey rjo_,

I'm in Peoria Where do you guys meet/what do you do?

I am new to the prop and to electronics in general. I love the prop, but I need to get some momentum back.

    grindel,

    Sorry, missed your post.

    "what do you do?"

If I told you, I'd have to kill you:)

I am about 45 minutes from Peoria, but every time I try to do business down there they come up with a new zoning restriction.

"I am new to the prop and to electronics in general."

You don't know how lucky you are... not much to contaminate your creativity.

I'm new to electronics and I'm having a ball... it is so screwed up!!!

"I need to get some momentum back."

The Prop will do that... hold on tight. The Central Illinois Propeller Abuser's Group (CiPAG) is offering free membership (adults only).

Maybe we should make a field trip to Peoria?

I'll talk to my entertainment director about this.
