? Have a look at some ATA hard disk manual... or some "SuperIDE" chips to get the electrical part. Later I'd recommend the IDE hard disk driver in the linux kernel or on NetBSD if you prefer some other license.
I think someone in the forums commented on this. A serial Flash is probably easier to implement and less demanding in terms of used pins.
