Micro FM transmitter from Spark Fun

Have you seen this gizmo - looks interesting.

I·am unsure how to intergrate it to collect and transmit system data back from my bot but i am sure it can do it.

    Well it's .25 to 2 mw output so I guess it would depend on your antenna.

    From the description on the SparkFun site, it sounds like this chip is designed for transmitting stereo audio, not data.

    Can a received audio signal be used to carry data ? like a fax machine, or could two digital data streams be sent/received ?

    If you look in their wireless section under general, you will see they have some economical transmitter/receiver pairs that are made for data transmission. I have no idea how well they work, but its probably better (and easier) than adapting a FM stereo transmitter to do the job.
