Chris and All--

I have a BS2-OEM running in a big Jameco breadboard . . . all it is doing is blinking an LED.

Chris, once you cautioned me concerning the voltage supply for the eb-500. You told me 6vdc, regulated. I am powering my BS2-OEM from two, 4200 mah battery packs connected in parallel. With the LED blinking, my multimeter tells me the voltage varies between 6.11v and 6.13v.

Question 1: Is that too much for the eb-500?
Question 2: Where can I find a socket for the eb-500 that will allow me to plug it into my breadboard?

Thanks!

ps Chris, I REALLY appreciate everything you did for me concerning eb-500 support a few months ago.

    Bill,

The max voltage to the EB500 should never exceed 12V. A sfer bet is the ~6V that it was designed around with the battery powered BOE-Bot in mind. I don’t recall the thread, but if you use our Google Search Engine there was a post some time ago that showed an adapter to go from the 2X10 header to a 20-pin DIP socket type connector, which would then allow you to connect it to the breadboard area. I hope this helps. Take care.

Regarding a socket that will allow me to use my eb-500 in a breadboard . . .

I never found the thread to which you referred. Doubtless, it is due to my inability to use the search engine. If anyone has a little further guidance, I would certainly appreciate it!
